You can permanently delete your Bee Community account — along with your hives, logbook entries, mite washes, registrations, reminders, community posts, and photos — at any time, right from the app.
Open Bee Community and tap the account icon in the top-right corner of the Home tab.
On the Account screen, tap Delete account at the bottom.
Confirm twice. Deletion happens immediately and can't be undone.
You'll be signed out as soon as it's done. There's no waiting period and nothing to email. If you have logbook changes that haven't synced yet, the app tells you first — they'll be deleted with the account, so sync or export before you confirm. Want a copy? Settings → Export my data gives you every entry, hive and wash as CSV.
If you've lost access to your phone, can't sign in, or declined the updated Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on the app's update screen (that screen doesn't let you reach the Account screen), email us from the address you signed up with and we'll delete the account for you within a few business days.
Your profile (display name, region, state, county, sells-honey / sells-bees flags)
Every hive and logbook entry you've recorded, including the queen record and colony-death record on each hive
Every mite wash you saved, and your "Share my wash counts" choice — the anonymous state statistics are recounted every night from members who currently share, so your washes drop out of them at the next recount
Your apiary books (expenses and bee sales) and your swarm-season trial record
Your honey harvest and sales records, and the club ledger and treasury entries you recorded (they leave that club's books)
Your subscription status and any codes you redeemed — but not the store subscription itself (see below)
Your apiary registration records
Every reminder you wrote
Every private photo attached to a logbook entry
Your community posts, comments, likes, and club posts
Every photo you uploaded with a post, swarm alert or area alert
Your bloom reports, swarm alerts (with any phone number you attached), swarm replies and area alerts
The push tokens registered for your phones, your nearby-alert settings (radius and categories), the Sunday week-push, getting-started-tips, overdue-check-reminder and wash-sharing switches with the 30-day pause date, your notification timing record (the hour you last opened the app, whether a check was overdue then, the days your phone held a reminder, which one-time tips were sent), and any notification still queued or logged for you
Any warning, mute or ban on your account, your Community Guidelines acceptance, and the moderation notices sent to you
Your mentor listing, mentor requests, and the messages in them
Your club memberships — a club you founded stays for its remaining members, with no founder attribution, and a club seat pack you bought stays for the club, no longer naming you as the buyer
Any reports you filed and any members you blocked
The offline copy of your logbook and your notification, snooze and done settings on the phone you delete from
A swarm alert you had claimed but not closed is released so another member can take it. Alerts and reminders the app scheduled on your phone are cancelled — except the single notice the app schedules five days before a swarm-season trial ends, which is fixed text with no personal data and may still appear once if it was pending.
What's kept
Consent records — the email address the account used, the timestamp, the document and app version and the document fingerprint — no longer linked to a live account, kept for as long as we may need to prove what you accepted.
The moderation log and review alerts to our moderators — no longer linked to your account but keeping a copy of your display name, your former member identifier, the moderator's reason and any excerpt of up to 160 characters of a hidden post, comment or report detail (including, for a member report you filed, your former identifier, the reason and up to 160 characters of your detail) — kept for as long as needed to prevent someone banned from coming back and to defend claims.
Reports other members filed about your content (up to 160 characters of the reported text) — until a moderator dismisses them.
Billing event messages RevenueCat sent us about your plan, with your former account identifier — for as long as tax and accounting records must be kept and disputes can arise.
A club you founded — it stays for its remaining members, with no founder attribution.
Club finance records other members entered — for the club, with your identifier removed from "paid by" and "member" (it may remain in the lists of who a cost was split among or settled by).
The club-only code of a seat pack you bought (for the club, without your name) and the single-use code row behind a swarm-season trial (no identifier).
Anonymous wash statistics keep your numbers inside the stored averages until the next nightly recount; they never held an identifier.
Copies outside our database: delivery logs at the push and email services, RevenueCat's customer record and Google Play's purchase records, Google Cloud Vision's request logs for community photos you posted, our backend provider's backups and logs, and any copy another person saved of a shared photo.
Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in your Google Play account settings first, or it will keep renewing.
Files you exported and shared (CSV, PDF) live wherever you sent them; we never had a copy. If you signed in on more than one phone, the offline copy on the other phone is cleared the next time that phone tries to sync.
Worth knowing
Deleting your account is permanent. If you only want to leave the community feed for a while, you can delete individual posts instead — each post's photos are removed with it — or unlist your mentor profile and leave clubs without deleting anything else. If you only want to stop notifications, the simplest way is to turn off notifications for Bee Community in your phone's settings; in the app, Settings → Reminders holds the switches for reminders, the getting-started tips, the overdue check reminders and the Sunday week push, and a button that pauses those tips for 30 days, while Settings → Nearby alerts & community holds the nearby and community categories. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture of what we collect and why.
